PRODUCT FEATURES AND BENEFITS

1. A range of profiles and finishes
Decoriel profiles are available in four classic styles: radius, bevel, scallop and slimline.
All profiles are available in a natural anodised finish. Corner sections are available in bright and satin chrome finishes.

2. Aesthetic benefits
When contrasting colours and finishes are used, Decoriel profiles greatly enhance the aesthetic qualities of cabinetry.

3. Hinge and hardware compatibility
When used with our specially developed 35mm drill bit, Decoriel profiles accept all standard 35mm-cup hinges. Decoriel profiles also accept the majority of hardware accessories.

4. Durability
Decoriel profiles are firmly embedded into the panel and offer a resilient, impact resistant surface for domestic and commercial use.

5. Rigidity
When working with large panels, such as pantry doors, the issue of bowing can be problematic. Decoriel profiles act as a straight edge to successfully straighten bowed panels.

6. Use with lacquered panels
Pre-grooved panels are simply sprayed front and back eliminating the need for costly edge cleanup. Alternatively, single-sided melamine can be used requiring only the front face to be lacquered, reducing lacquer costs.

7. Minimal tooling cost
The only specialised tool required to install Decoriel profiles is a 35mm tungsten hinge-cup bit specially developed by Clashal Systems for use in drill presses. However if the rate of decent of the drill press cannot be controlled a dampener kit developed by Clashal Systems can be fitted (to most presses). Alternatively, a manually controlled hinge insertion machine can be used. The typical anticipated tooling cost is a few hundred dollars. This compares with several thousand dollars for an entry-level edgebander.

8. Efficient use of panels
As Decoriel profiles add a 10mm border around the panel (5mm for slimline), panels are trimmed 20mm (10mm for slimline) smaller than the finished size resulting in improved panel economy.

9. No visible glueline and no cleanup
A small amount of glue is applied into the groove in the edge of a panel prior to installing each profile section. Thus, unlike PVC, no glueline is visible along the finished edge and therefore no cleanup is required.

10. Fully recyclable
Aluminium is a fully recyclable metal and offcuts can be collected for sale as scrap metal.

11. Greater profitability
A low tooling cost combined with ease of installation enables cabinetmakers to immediately begin working with Decoriel profiles.

INSTALLATION SUMMARY

Decoriel profiles are extremely easy to work with requiring minimal tooling.

Panels are first grooved to receive the profile.

Once the profiles have been cut to length, a small bead of glue is applied into the groove...

... and the side section hammered in. The opposite side is fitted the same way.

The corner pieces are then fitted to the top section. Glue is applied into the groove. The dowels on the corner sections are then aligned with the matching cavities in the sides...

... and the top section is hammered in. This is repeated for the final section.
